I came to Luton in 1952; I am now aged 86. I travelled on the Princess Maud from Dublin to Holyhead. I worked at St Albans City Hospital in the Doctor’s residence at Grosvenor House and then went on to work at a heart specialist hospital. At first, I hated England. I felt lonely. I then moved to Luton. I was employed as one of the first Traffic Wardens in Luton.
